Sophie Marceau
My acquaintance with the famous French actress goes back to 1988, when her husband Andrzej Żuławski directed the film opera “Boris Godunov” in Belgrade. I was his assistant on that shoot.
We stayed close through the nineties, when I was working in Prague and was a frequent guest at Sophie and Andrzej’s Paris apartment and at their house in the country. What began as work became a family friendship. At my invitation they came to the Auteur Film Festival in Belgrade at the end of 2000, the first famous names from the world of art and show business to visit Serbia after the great political changes and the return of democracy. The photographs shown here were taken across three decades — the eighties, the nineties and the two-thousands.
